Friday Evening
Our family will be participating in the Shabbat Evening service at the synagogue Friday night starting at 6:30.
There are no other plans for Friday evening.
Saturday
The service will start at 10:30am in the main sanctuary, so please try to arrive by 10:15 to get seated comfortably.
Children can be dropped off at the front of the building. Security will direct you around the driveway.
The service will last approximately 90 minutes, after which the party will commence in the Social Hall, also at the synagogue.
The party will end around 4pm. Children can be picked up at the front of the synagogue or on the main level.
For those who might not have attended a mitzvah celebration in the past, we kindly remind our guests of the basic etiquette to be observed in our Reform synagogue:
- Attire: Come dressed for a party, but women and girls should have their shoulders covered for the service. Men and boys are encouraged to wear kippot (skullcaps), which will be provided at the synagogue.
- Photography: Out of respect for the sanctity of the Sabbath, we request that guests refrain from using electronic devices, including cameras and mobile phones, during the service. We promise there will be plenty of pictures.
- Participation: Feel free—but not obligated—to join in the prayers and songs during the service. Prayer books, which also provide translations of the Hebrew, will be available, and everyone is welcome to participate as they feel comfortable.
Service Streaming
If you can’t make it in person but would like to stream the service(s), visit the synagogue’s website:
We look forward to sharing this joyous occasion with you and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
